TECHNICAL ASSISTANT, in the ‘DBT-MSUB INTERDISCIPLINARY PROGRAMME ON
LIFE SCIENCE FOR ADVANCED RESEARCH AND EDUCATION’,
Project Faculty- I Asst Professor
Qualification:
a. Master’s degree in Biophysics/
Biochemistry/ Phytochemistry
Desirable qualification: a. Ph.D in the relevant field with expertise in Spectroscopic techniques for Structure elucidation as evidenced by publication in peer reviewed journals.
Project Faculty- II Asst Professor
Qualification:
a. Master’s degree in Biochemistry/Medical Biochemistry/ Biotechnology/ Physiology
Desirable qualification: a. Ph.D in the relevant field with expertise in animal cell culture as evidenced by publication in peer reviewed journals
Project Faculty- III Asst Professor
Qualification:
a. Master’s degree in Chemistry/Materials Science/Biophysics/Physics/Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Biotechnology/Polymer Science or M. Tech in Polymer Science and Engineering/Nanoscience and Nanotechnology/ Materials Science and Engineering
Desirable qualification: a. Ph. D in the relevant field with proven track record in the field of Nanomedicine/Targeted Drug Delivery and publications in peer reviewed journals of high impact factor.
Technical Asst
Qualification:
1. Master’s Degree in Biochemistry /Chemistry /Biotechnology/ Microbiology /Biophysics with minimum 55% Marks (50% in case of SC / ST/Differently abled)
Desirable qualification: 1. Experience in handling equipments like HPLC, HPTLC, FT-IR, PCR, Western Blotting & Gel Documentation etc. 2. Experience in preparing laboratory reports and documentation
Age Limit: Not more than 40years for the post of Asst. Professors and not more than 35
years for the post of Technical Assistant as on 1st January, 2012. Usual relaxation of upper
age limit is admissible to candidates as per rules.
The Application form can be downloaded from the University website www.mgu.ac.in . The completed application (EIGHT COPIES for the post of PROJECT FACULTY- Asst. Professor & FIVE COPIES for the post TECHNICAL ASSISTANT) along with attested copies of supporting documents should reach the undersigned along with Registration fee of Rs.300/- before 15th
October 2012. Fee should be remitted by way of Demand Draft. All demand drafts should be drawn in favour of the Finance Officer, Mahatma Gandhi University payable at the State Bank of Travancore M.G. University Campus Branch, (Code:669), Kottayam Kerala. (Candidates belonging to SC/ST community are exempted from payment of Registration fee).
